Our Beekeeping Workshop has been operating in Skalochori, Lesvos since the summer of 2007 and is a modern standardization unit for honey and beehive products such as Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, Propolis and Beeswax.
The Beekeeping Workshop belongs to the family of Giannis Kamberos and the honey that is produced and standardized is called Honey Drop.
The Workshop is the only vertically integrated unit (i.e. Production, Standardization and Trading) in the North Aegean which is in the ISO 22000 certification phase.
This means that all European Standards and hygiene rules for food laboratories are implemented at all levels.

Useful properties about quality assurance
- All the materials of the Laboratory are approved, there is complete automation in the production flow (no human intervention involved) and all honey processing machines are stainless steel, CE certificated.
- The jars are sterilized and there is a cooling chamber for the biological control of the wax moth that develops in the nests.
- In addition to the above, an important quality certification for every “L” batch is the corresponding chemical analysis by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
- The honey produced by our bees comes from flowers and wildflowers found in the mountains of Lesvos, where there is a plethora of herbs which flower successively; this gives our honey its distinctive taste, color and fragrance.

Making honey is a complex and unique process and is produced in several stages
